The art of preserving beauty
At Morrae, we believe that proper care is also a manifestation of self-love. Our products are made from delicate, premium materials: Italian viscose and silk velvet. To keep them looking flawless for years to come, we recommend following a few simple but important rituals.
1. Italian Viscose
For pajamas, bathrobes, dresses, and sets with T-shirts.
Viscose is a “breathable” material of natural origin. When wet, it becomes more vulnerable, so it needs to be treated gently.
- Washing:
- We recommend hand washing in cool water (up to 30°C).
- If you use a washing machine, select the ‘Delicate’ or “Silk” cycle without spinning.
- Use only liquid detergents for delicate fabrics (preferably pH-neutral). No bleach.
- Drying:
- Do not wring out the product! Gently pat it dry with a towel to remove excess moisture.
- Dry flat on a horizontal surface, away from direct sunlight and heaters.
- Ironing:
- Viscose is best ironed while it is still slightly damp.
- Iron exclusively on the reverse side at a low temperature (Silk setting).
- Using a steamer is the ideal way to restore the fabric’s softness.
- Viscose is best ironed while it is still slightly damp.
2. Silk Velvet
For velvet collections (Jagger, etc.).
Velvet is a royal fabric with a pile that does not tolerate rough handling.
- Cleaning: For velvet items, we recommend professional dry cleaning (dry cleaning). This ensures that the pile remains fluffy and the product does not lose its shape.
- Home care (at your own risk):
- If you still decide to wash at home, only hand wash in cold water. Do not rub!
- Never iron velvet with an iron! This will “flatten” the pile and leave marks.
- To remove creases, use only a vertical steamer, holding it 5-10 cm away from the fabric.
3. Eye Masks
Masks are filled with soft material to block light, so they should not be soaked for long periods of time.
- Only gentle hand wash in cool water.
- Do not wring out. Dry on a towel.
- Avoid getting creams and oils directly on the mask fabric to prevent staining.
4. Slippers
- Do not machine wash — this will damage the sole and shape.
- Cleaning: Spot clean only. Use a damp cloth or sponge with a mild detergent to gently remove stains.
5. Storing
- Darkness: Store items in a closet, away from light, to keep the color deep and rich.
- Air: Velvet items are best stored on hangers to prevent the pile from creasing. Viscose pajamas can be neatly folded on a shelf, separating them with tissue paper.
- Scent: Place a lavender sachet nearby — this will not only protect against moths, but also add a touch of tranquility to your sleep.
